I've had it up to my eye balls with Obama loving fever. Enough with the comparisons to Lincoln or FDR, or pronouncements of his greatness. The man has not done anything great yet. He has not done anything yet. In fact, when you look at his past accomplishments, you have to look with a magnifying glass because he has no track record of great accomplishment. So just how does anyone, Liberal or Conservative, get the idea that he is going to be this great President and leader?
Obama may be a horrible President (like Carter), he may be an average President(like Bush the former) he might be an excellent President (like Clinton) or he might be in fact great(like Reagan), but we don't know. Why? He has not done anything yet. Saying he will be great is like saying Tim Tebo will come into the NFL and be the next great NFL quarterback. Possible, yes. Given his track record and playing style, not likely. Either way, until he actually gets drafted and plays, no one knows. The same goes for Obama. The profoundness of this article is the profound naiveté' and silliness of the writer. Greatness is a trait demonstrated in action. It is revealed via doing something, and seeing above average positive results. It does not and has never been shown before the act of doing something. So wait for two years, and then we'll see if Obama is actually great, or just great at campaigning.
I did not vote for the man because he did not have the experience, or policies to be President. But now he is going to be the President, so I have to hope he does a good job in order for the country to do better. As we see from his being decisions of Penatta as head of CIA, and saying “only the government can save the economy” however, I pretty sure that greatness is not something we will be seeing from him.
