The liberal hounds at MSNBC didn’t take long to go on the
attack tonight on the talk show’s. Scarborough’s
Country and Count Down with Keith Olbermann. The hosts of each show accused Fox news commentator Bill O’Reilly of
blaming Jessie Davis for her own death, as well as saying the same thing about
the wife of Chris Benoit.
What is so amusing about the whole thing is that after
watching the O’Reilly Factor tonight I predicted that people would go after
him. I looked directly at my girlfriend,
who was also watching, and said, “Oh boy, they’re going to go after him now.” Of course, MSNBC is way too predictable for
me to take a pat on my back for knowing they would jump on Bill, but it’s still
funny. Dan Abrams, filling in for Joe Scarborough,
and MSNBC legal analyst Susan Falin were so indignant and angry over the
situation. But, of course, they had
nothing to be angry about. Bill did not
say either woman, Jesse Davis or Nancy Benoit, were responsible for their own
deaths. What Bill actually did was say, “Look
if you put yourself around chaotic people, dangerous people, or people doing
dangerous and irresponsible things, then you are going to get hurt in some way,
some day.” Umm, where is the blame
here? I don’t see it. He never said getting killed was her own
fault, or that she deserved it.
As Bill predicted on his own show, he is going to get
hammered because people don’t want to have to make judgments. Let me put in a simple way. Jesse Davis did not do anything to deserve
being killed. Natalie Holloway did not
deserve to be killed. Nancy Benoit did
not deserve to be killed. All three did make decisions that placed them in
danger. If you think that’s blaming the victim,
then ask yourself this. Would you get
into a car with someone you know is drunk? Would you put your kid into a car when you know the driver’s drunk? No, of course not, because you know that is a
bad situation to be in.
We are finding more and more out about how bad this Bobby
Cutts was. The question has to be
raised, why in the hell was she with the guy? Bill’s whole point and it was a point of warning to viewers and
Americans everywhere, is that if you’re involved with someone, man or women,
that is in chaos, doing bad or irresponsible things, you need to get out. That life will bleed into yours and it could
get you dead, maimed, raped, or any number of unpleasant things.
I’ve never been able to understand why questioning the
decisions a person makes is blaming the victim. Maybe it’s because we know, logically, that if the person had not been
in that situation they might be alive. It’s painful to realize that if Natalie Holloway didn’t get drunk with
guys she didn’t know from Adam that she might be here with her family today.
Abrams, Olbermann, and Filan need to shut up, just stop taking
the liberal, progressive, make no judgments crazy juice and wake up. Or at least tell the truth. I know that’s a stretch for Olbermann in
particular. Bill O’Reilly spoke a simple
truth. That Jesse Davis was putting her life
and her child at risk by continuing to be involved with Bobby Cutts. Sometimes decisions like this only lead to
relationship drama, and other times it leads to unfortunate deaths like
this. But I have a question for Miss
Filan and Dan Abrams since they want to stand-up for all women in the world to
not be “judged” like this. What is your
advice to the millions of females watching your shows? If they are dating or married to a man that
is abusive, violent, have multiple kids with other women, etc., should they
stay in those situations? Would you tell
them to not worry about anything, because nothing that happens to you, you have
any control over whatsoever?
It’s a sad week in America today. These two women should be alive today. Two innocent children should be alive
today. But tomorrow or someday, sooner
than we need to see, another woman is going to be dead. She won’t be the cause of it. But today, right now that woman is alive, and
maybe the message of getting away from men like Cutts might keep them
alive. That is of course if Abrams,
Olberman, and Filan would like the message to get out. But it seems like they would rather yell at
the man that’s kicking their ass in ratings, rather than offer sound advice to
female Americans on how to not be on the news as a topic of tragic discussion.
